🙃 I come from a Christian background, so a lot of my stories are going to have a Christian spin on them. Whatever your belief system, I hope you can take away something to benefit you from my storytelling.😊
The Bible tells us that God created the heavens and the Earth and then a loving father provided an entire universe for the kids that he was about to place into this amazing beautiful Earth. So think about it, Adam and Eve didn’t even have to wear clothes. The Bible told them to take care of the Earth and to take dominion over it so there must have been something that needed taken dominion over. He didn’t just say to take care, the taking Dominion means to make sure things are working the way they’re supposed to work and that things that are trying to come in and Destroy aren’t doing that. That’s my spin on it anyway.
And in the original Garden there was one no. Just one. There was only one thing they were not supposed to do. They weren’t supposed to eat from the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. Again this is my spin here but it would appear to me that their thoughts were constantly perfectly aligned to what needed to be done that was good and healthy and right. Just one “no.”
They were created to enjoy life. The garden was full of beautiful fruits and things to eat. Adam got to name all the animals so that tells us he’s pretty darned intelligent. And then God maybe even he was like ooh la la! And life got even better.
He didn’t have to build a house from my perspective again this is my literary license here, they could just lay out on the ground at night and nothing would harm them and have perfect sleep. Mists came up and watered the Earth.
Best part was they got to hang out with the creator of the universe their father every evening and talk about the day and all the things they accomplished. The world was created for family. And God and Adam and Eve or the first family.
Just think about this for a minute.
There was no house to clean. The Earth was the house and it was perfectly functioning you throw the apple core down and it was disposed of. I would assume you just went to the bathroom and that was just part of the process of how the Earth functioned. The Bible doesn’t say it was perfect, because certainly there was a talking snake that caused a whole lot of trouble with its lies.
God warned Adam the day that he ate from the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil he would die. And there most certainly was a death that happened instantly.
But God in his Mercy protected Adam and Eve so that physical death didn’t come immediately and since his original plan for Perfection and beauty and peace were destroyed at the fall, he implemented another plan. One to rescue and Save those who he adored and loved so very much that were now separated from him.
Because God isn’t going to stop being love or truth because of our sin or because of the Fall. He’s not going to start hating and murdering. He’s not going to start calling things that are horrible and bad such as greed and pride and self-centeredness, good. In his power there is nothing that he cannot do. But in his love there are many things he will not do. And he did choose to put that tree in the garden because perfection without choice and free will would only be the perfect slavery and God is love.
As a Christian I believe Jesus died for the sins of the whole world and there is now one tree once again. Before there was one no, now there is one yes. One choice to make to believe God and to love him.
But in this world now for us to be healthy and safe and live in relation with God, there are so many things we have to say no! to…
And it is not easy it is hard and often we cannot do what we should do, hence our need for a savior.
What does this have to do with cleaning your house? Well I know Eve sins are forgiven but there are days where I think we’re going to have a serious conversation with her because at the fall of mankind when she decided to not believe God, we evolved. And not for the better because now there was housekeeping and laundry.
But her sins are forgiven just like mine are, so we will let it go, but we live in a world that constantly throws tons of things into our line of vision that we do not need for life. Hear me. We are depressed because often we are causing ourselves depression. Our brains and bodies now under the fall don’t always do and crave what is good and right. Rationally you would think if you chose something that was destructive it would hurt but that’s not what happens when you take an illegal drug or drink too much alcohol or smoke a cigarette, at least not right away.
One of the things that I have seen is people have a need to connect with their family and this is a very good thing or their friends. But exactly how many memories do we need to store up to prove that we are loved and have had a good life in various things? We have lost the ability to set healthy limits limits and it’s such a big need in our society today.
We have limited time energy money and space. But we want more things than can fill our time energy and space. We have got to learn to tell that inner child and the person in the mirror a very resounding no! And we have to learn to do it with gentleness and kindness and force and love because the world is constantly throwing so many things as telling us oh you need makeup oh you need this oh you need that and we busy ourselves working so hard for so many things that are not needful for life. And beloved, this is destroying us. And the more things that we set in front of our eyes saying oh we can do this and this is great without putting limitations upon ourselves and the world around us, the more we get into a tizzy and we do not enjoy the things that we have.
There is an Amish saying that I love and I have it on my wall. It says if God is all you have you have nothing to lose.
Just think for a moment about how much money and time and work we have put into on things that are not needed for life. Okay so yes we need clothes we need food, and yes there is a level of enjoyment, but we have created an unsustainable Society, and unsustainable government and often for many of us and I know that I am talking to myself not just you, and unsustainable home life.
We have got to regain sanity and our Authority and tell ourselves and even those within our Circle this has to stop. I can remember with my chronic health issues being so frustrated when everybody wanted to bless my children which was great that they had a heart to bless my children with so many presents. I counted the stuffed animals that my children owned when they were six and seven and there were 72 of them. But we couldn’t afford groceries. I didn’t know that I had the right to tell people no or to tell my kids no and no I’m not being a mean mother to limit the amount of stuffed animals or clothes my children have. As long as we are equally doing it with the parents. We don’t need TVs people. We don’t need video games. We don’t need a bunch of entertainment. We need to relearn how to enjoy the gifts that God has given a fresh sunshine and air and trees. And we can put our highly intelligence energetic bodies into the creativity of caring for this Earth and seeking to solve the problems and embrace the challenges that many people around us have.
America does not have a problem with lack of money or resources or food. There Is No Lack in this country. Not of time energy money or things needed for life. What we are lacking is wisdom of how to use what we have been given. What is lacking is the ability to tell the person in the mirror no I am not going to spend $5,000 on things needed for life when there are 10 people on the streets in front of me who do not have the training or meaningful work to sustain their lives.
I’m not trying to get people to be miserable, I’m trying to help us to retrain our brain patterns into delighting in things that we are given instead of craving things that we do not need. In saying no and yes there is an often an element of pain that goes into this to the things not needed for life so the things that are needed for life do not die.
We we are the wealthiest Society most likely within the past 5 millennium and we will one day stand and have a conversation with the past Generations of how we have done taking care of what is our responsibility. Our country has huge amount of waste of time and energy, not to mention resources. And the point of this blog is for us to examine our own lives and see what can we remove from our lives and stop our obsession with so many things that we do not need, so that we can reach out to others who do not have what they need for life.
We are working on our own lives and families with this concept and we would love to get it into the mix with you and help transition the mentality of this generation so the Next Generation can thrive.

In every blade of grass, every sunrise and every sunset is the creator of the universe speaking as loudly as the universe can, I love you. And when that was not enough, because a lie had come saying that God doesn’t love you as much as you think and he’s not giving you his best, after giving us all of creation, he showed us his love for us and gave us himself. At the cross he gave his very own son so that we could see without a shadow of a doubt, we are treasured we are loved. And no circumstance on this Earth. No portion of the fall of mankind, no snake and no sin will change that love, but it is up to us to say yes to God and to Simply believe him.
